Pair of Globes by Peter Anich,
1756 & 1759, Innsbruck
Project management, restoration and documentation of a pair of globes
In addition to the conservation of all surfaces and ensuring globe’s structural stability, an important aim of the project was to unify both globes optically. Under the direction of the conrest studio, stabilization, conservation and restoration works on the metal surfaces, wooden frames and bases, and clock mechanisms were coordinated. After their cleaning, globes’ surfaces were visually unified in terms of varnish‘ brightness and gloss level. All conducted measures and special features were photographically documented. After their restoration, the globes were re-exhibited at the Tiroler Landesmuseen.

"Die Globen von Peter Anich (1723 - 1766)"
Youtube Post University Innsbruck
